Butter Demon

Dear Denizen,

A whisper on my shoulder that I pass on to you:

At Mirth & Mustard, hunger’s hushed, and troubles lose their teeth,

A sandwich warm as friendship, with secrets tucked beneath.

But mind the silky shadow that slips into the bread,

It greases everything around, might hum while you’re fed.

It weaves between the ingredients, it melts into the bun,

And helps with inner clarity, its cheeky work all done.

Morning Mishaps

Butter demons abound, as much as bees thirsty on a sunny summer day.

Mirth & Mustard has one on the truck, and it might even be a co-founder of the Food&Bev endeavor. These creatures are not necessarily evil, do not mistake 'demon' with ready for the world to end. They are simply cheeky in nature, chaotic at most. Can't blame them really, born from floating hot metal and skating over it, until bubbles start to burst.

Arietta the Witch summoned one in her kitchen, accidentally on purpose. Clouded by anxiety and chaotic thoughts one morning, she 'drew' a butter pentagon on her frying pan, and out from it came a butter demon, mischievous laugh and arms extended in triumph.

She panicked, naturally. But made the mistake of throwing the pan right on to the sourdough bread on her kitchen counter. Since she lacked culinary summoning training, she was not aware that bread and butter have a delicious impact on a slippery demon. Growth...

Let's not spoil the rest, but the tale might end with a 30 feet Butter Demon chewing on her chimney.
